For over four decades, Vanna White has been a staple of American television, charming audiences as the co-host of Wheel of Fortune. But her recent revelation about her work schedule and salary has left many fans stunned.

During a recent interview on Elvis Duran and the Morning Show, White shared that she only works 34 days a year—despite earning millions annually. For many years, her salary remained at $3 million per year, even as her co-host, Pat Sajak, reportedly made nearly five times that amount. While that paycheck is still enviable, the disparity became a point of discussion when it was revealed that White had not received a substantial raise in nearly 18 years.

However, things changed when it came time to renegotiate her contract for the 2025-2026 season. According to Fortune, White’s new deal will pay her a whopping $10 million per year. Broken down, that comes out to nearly $294,000 for each of her 34 workdays—a staggering amount for a job that primarily involves revealing letters on a game board.

Despite the eye-popping figures, many believe White is worth every penny. New Wheel of Fortune host Ryan Seacrest, who replaced Sajak following his retirement, had nothing but praise for her.

“She is an institution, an icon,” Seacrest told People magazine. “She’s amazing. She’s everything you think Vanna White will be when you meet her!”

White first joined Wheel of Fortune in 1982, quickly becoming a beloved television personality. Over the years, she has built a reputation for grace, style, and consistency, making her an integral part of the show’s enduring success. While her work schedule may be light compared to most jobs, the impact she has had on pop culture is undeniable.

Her salary raise also highlights a broader conversation about pay equity in the entertainment industry. While White has long been a fixture of Wheel of Fortune, her earnings lagged significantly behind Sajak’s for years. Now, with a more competitive salary, she is finally receiving a paycheck that reflects her longstanding contributions to the show.

As Wheel of Fortune moves into a new era with Seacrest at the helm, White remains a familiar presence, continuing to captivate audiences in her signature style. And with her new contract, she can certainly afford to buy every vowel on the board.
